Dayton Children's is the region's pediatric referral center for 20 Ohio counties. The pediatric specialists at Dayton Children's care for more than 190,000 infants, children and teens every year. No one else in the region has that much experience in caring for children of all ages. With a full complement of pediatric specialties in 35 key areas, Dayton Children's offers the region's parents and families "Experts you trust, caring for the children you love."
Critical Care Complex - advanced surgical center which includes inpatient and outpatient surgery and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the only PICU in the region staffed by pediatric intensivists--physicians specially trained in critical care medicine
Regional Pediatric Trauma and Emergency Center - Verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, the trauma center at Dayton Children's is the only trauma center in the region fully staffed by pediatric specialists.
Dayton Children's Cancer program - approved by the American College of Surgeions Committee on cancer, the cancer program at Dayton Children's uses nationally established cancer treatment protocols to ensure that all patients get the most advanced cancer care available.
Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - use of development concepts and an award-winning design set the standard for NICUs in the region.
Pediatric Sleep Program - fully accredited and directed by a physician board-certified in sleep medicine
Regional transport services - the region's only transport team providing free transport from all referring hospitals in the region. Infants and children are transported in specially equipped mobile intensive care units by a highly trained and expereinced transport team.
